YOUTH
The youth department of the ESFC is active in many sections, in order to promote its social and cultural targets, through various Cypriot and European programs.
It is a member of the Cyprus Youth Council and it was honored by the YOUTH organization for its social contribution, in December 2004.
The ESFC is governed by a council, which is elected by the general assembly every two years. It is actively represented to the “NETWORK” on programs for person with special needs.
The basic aims of YOUTH are:
- To fight against social discrimination in Cyprus and in Europe.
- To give equal opportunities to young people with special needs and to young people who are not as fortunate as others.
- To fight against drug addiction.
- To promote sports among young people.
- To promote the ideal of democracy among European citizens, in Cyprus.
- To promote the ideal of the “ACTIVE CITIZEN” among our youth.
These programs are being implemented through Cypriot organizations such as the Youth Organization, the Ministry of Labor etc and through European programs, such as the YOUTH program.
The youth department of the ESFC is trying to create its own network of Non Government Organizations. We invite all youth organizations in Cyprus to participate in the European programs for the youth.
